Lessons learned from today's little adventure:
It's impossible to get 32 fl oz. of bubble mix out of your carpet. No matter how much water and towels you end up using.
Cleaning up 32 fl oz. of bubble mix out of your carpet results in a rather large load of towels and rags that now need to be put in the laundry. (Never mind the three loads I did yesterday)
If at all possible, never let your oldest daughter pour 32 fl oz. of bubble mix onto your youngest daughter.
We need to purchase a wet vac asap!
Never try to get anything done (especially when it's church related) while the girls are awake. In other words, never try to get anything done.
Cleaning up messes usually results in much larger messes. Messes made by both the cleaner upper and the little mess makers.
Having 32 fl oz. of bubble mix poured onto your carpet results in a huge headache, both figuratively and quite literally.
Having bubble mix poured onto your carpet results in many tears shed by all involved. The youngest- because she had the bubble mixed poured onto her, the oldest- because she was punished, and the mommy-because she ended up feeling like a horrible monster of a mommy after all was said and done.
No matter how many things end up going wrong in a day there is plenty of good to back it up.
No matter how big of a mess 32 fl oz. of bubble mix can make it's never large enough to compete with the cuteness of a little mess maker asking if we can still do "bubbooz".

You should be able to rent a steam machine from a local store like wal-mart. But might be a wise investment. I loved having one when all the children were small. At least it was not Red Kool Aid.
oh my. that sounds like quite the adventure, Camie. but "bubbooz" is a super cute way to say it, and i bet you forgave her pretty quickly. it will be one of her infamous stories, right? :)
Oh golly - that just sounds like a tough moment but also one you can look back upon and smile some day. I'm glad you wrote it down so you can remember the moment.
Makes my day of water damage to the house from a leaking roof and a flat tire day seem not so bad.
It's a good thing young "trouble makers" are so cute! I'm sure your carpet, and laundry will be full of bubbles for a while.
My oldest put Dawn liquid soap in our dishwasher once. Needless to say, we made sure we explained carefully about using the correct soap in the dishwasher.
Oh dear! I have been there. Sam once dumped an entire Costco-sized bottle of dish soap on the floor and it was a nightmare to clean up. Why is it that things that are supposed to be clean seem to make the biggest messes?
We've been there except it was not 32 oz thank goodness it was only a little bottle. It tooks us months to get the carpet to recover. Ahhh the joys of motherhood, that would be horrible to live without
Wooohooo! A day in the life of toddler n' bubbles! ;)
You are such a good mom! Keep up the wonderful work!
